Proposed Amendment to Rules – Zone of Rate Freedom Regulations

TRENTON – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has proposed an amended rule pertaining to the Zone of Rate Freedom (ZORF) and private autobus carrier fare adjustments for intrastate regular route service.

The proposed amendment revises the rule to reflect the ZORF percentage adjustment allowed for the upcoming calendar year, 2024.  The Commission’s proposal was published in the November 6, 2023, issue of the New Jersey Register.

A copy of the regulatory proposal may be obtained on the NJMVC website, NJMVC.gov.  A copy may also be obtained by mail from the Motor Vehicle Commission, 225 East State Street, 9th Floor – East Wing, P.O.
