Virtual Public Hearing on Proposed Amended Rules Change for Dealers

TRENTON – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will hold a virtual public hearing on the proposed amendments to rules pertaining to the licensing of motor vehicle dealers. The Commission’s Public Notice was published in the September 18, 2023, issue of the New Jersey Register.

The public hearing will be held on October 5, 2023, beginning at 10:00 A.M. and will be conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams. A link to the virtual public hearing will be provided on the Commission’s website (https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/about/rules.htm) the morning of the hearing. Interested persons may also join the hearing by phone using a number that will be posted with the link. The hearing will conclude at 12:00 P.M. or the conclusion of all public testimony, whichever is earlier.

Persons interested in providing oral testimony or submitting written comments at the virtual public hearing should email the Commission at MVC.RuleComments@mvc.nj.gov by no later than 5:00 P.M. on October 2, 2023, with their contact information including a valid email address. Please note that the virtual hearing will be recorded. It is requested (but not required) that anyone providing oral testimony at the virtual public hearing provide a copy of any prepared remarks to the Commission through email.

The Commission is also extending the public comment period with regard to this proposal for an additional thirty (30) days.
