All NJMVC Facilities Will Be Closed Monday, September 5th for the State Holiday

TRENTON – All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) facilities will be closed Monday, September 5, 2022, in observance of the state holiday.

This includes:

  • Licensing and Vehicle Centers
  • Regional Service Centers
  • road testing sites
  • inspection stations

All NJMVC facilities will be open for regular operating hours the rest of the week, including on Saturday, September 3, 2022.

Meanwhile, the NJMVC.gov website remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Customers can access more than 30 online services at the website, such as license and registration renewals and replacements, address changes, fee and surcharge payments, personalized and specialty plate requests, and more.

Most customers can complete their motor vehicle business online in New Jersey, while nearly all in-person services at NJMVC agencies require an appointment that must be scheduled at the website.
