Free ‘Resources for Growth’ Event to Help Small Businesses Navigate Government Services

Trenton, NJ - The New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC) will host its “Resources for Growth” information-sharing and networking event for small businesses on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Stockton University in Galloway, NJ. This signature NJBAC event will bring together the small business community, state agencies, and community organizations to help business owners and entrepreneurs discover the many incentive programs and services that are available to help businesses grow and thrive. Nearly 30 state agencies and community partners will participate in the event. Representatives will be available for one-on-one conversations from:

  • New Jersey Business Action Center
  • New Jersey Economic Development Authority
  • Atlantic County Economic Alliance
  • NJ Small Business Development Center
  • New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce
  • Stockton University’s Small Business Development Center
  • Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce
  • Department of Labor and Workforce Development
  • Department of the Treasury
  • The State Library
  • Board of Public Utilities
  • Other various state agencies and organizations

“At the heart of New Jersey’s economy is the small business community, which represents over 953,000 small businesses,” said Lieutenant Governor Tahesha Way. “By investing time and resources in events that support growth and expansion of small businesses, we are ensuring the economic vitality of the state and planning for a prosperous statewide future.”

“The to-do lists of small business owners are long and always growing,” said Melanie Willoughby, executive director of NJBAC. Our ‘Resources for Growth’ event is designed to eliminate barriers and make it easier for businesses to discover what kind of support is available, all in one spot.”

The event will be open to start-ups and existing businesses. Participants will have time to connect and network one-on-one with agencies and learn about topics ranging from financing and contracting or certification to hiring and energy rebates.
