Art All Night is widely known as a unique festival that brings residents and visitors of all ages together in creativity, peace, and fun - and these are exactly the things our capital city needs. “The Arts Council is deeply saddened by this weekend's violence at Art All Night," said State Arts Council Chair Elizabeth Mattson. "Our thoughts are with the victims and all those impacted by this horrific event. For the past 12 years Artworks has presented Art All Night, which has brought tens of thousands of people to our capital city in a celebration of art and community. Like so many arts organizations throughout the state, Artworks works tirelessly to revitalize, support, and honor its local community through the arts. The arts connect us while also providing diverse and vibrant ways to express ourselves. The Council understands the importance of having spaces to create and connect, and we will be an active participant in the conversation about ensuring that art spaces are safe spaces.”
