During the COVID-19 crisis, the Arts Council began this compilation of resources for
New Jersey artists and organizations experiencing personal or business losses due to the economic impact of the pandemic. As we emerge from the crisis, this list of resources will remain on our website here. Moving forward, instead of a bi-weekly notification, new
COVID-19 resources will be included in our Opportunities for the Field emails.

This pilot product, funded with $15 million from the NJEDA's Main Street Recovery Program, provides grants to eligible micro business lenders, which the lenders can use to create new loan micro business loan products or supplement existing micro business loan products. Lenders can also qualify for additional grant funding to provide technical assistance to micro businesses, to better prepare these businesses to qualify for loan products.

The Small Business Lease Grant supports the growth and success of small businesses and nonprofits by providing grant funding to cover a portion of lease payments.

The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, created in 1966, is a division of the NJ Department of State. The Council was established to encourage and foster public interest in the arts; enlarge public and private resources devoted to the arts; promote freedom of expression in the arts; and facilitate the inclusion of art in every public building in New Jersey. The Council receives direct appropriations from the State of New Jersey through a dedicated, renewable Hotel/Motel Occupancy fee, as well as competitive grants from the National Endowment for the Arts.
